Great sixties track still popular today
Billed as "The 12 year old Wonder" in order to try and cash in on the Stevie Wonder phenomenon that was hitting the top of the Billboard Charts. Carl Carlton was later to achieve legendary status with Northern Soul fans with his Backbeat records outing "Competition ain't nothing". Carl's outing on Golden World is often overlooked. A pretty basic drum/bassline dance beat connected by a tambourine it plods on as Carl sings the praises of being in love then POW! A tenor sax break, breaks the record in two and the driving beat sort of gets a little more intense and Carl makes it to the end in fine style!

Think Twice (Version X)
Think Twice" was an R&B hit for Jackie Wilson and LaVern Baker in 1966. This unreleased studio out-take, "Version X", finds them blowing off some steam at the end of the recording session, improvising new lyrics that cover everything from cocaine to cunnilingus...
Original Jamaican version from 1963
Now a classic crossover tune, the original Mainstream 45 sells for hundreds of pounds.

Dude sounds like a lady: Arnold Blair
Arnold Blair was a singer signed to Curtis Mayfield's Curtom Records during the label's most creatively fertile period in the early 1970s--its roster included Linda Clifford, The Natural Four, June Conquest, The Notations, and the great, under-extolled singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Leroy Hutson, who co-wrote with Blair 1975's "Trying To Get Next To You":

Absolute monster record some years back, and still a floor filler.
very early Luther Vandross WHAT A RECORD They have even spelt his name wrong on the label, that's how well known he was! Recorded in 1979 it's got that typical Vandross 80's feel to it. Very catchy melody, and well what can you sayabout the vocals except brilliant.
Ric-Tic 109 "Stop Her On Sight (S.O.S.)" with other lyrics. "Scott's On Swingers" is a tribute to Detroit Disc Jockey Scott Regen on the radio station WKNR-AM. Issued as a double sided promo only.
Wigan Casino Fav - Haunting vocals
One of the finest soul ballads ever, “Long After Tonight Is All Over” was a big hit for Jimmy Radcliffe in 1964. It become an anthem for the Mods in 64/65 and a soul anthem of the decade, it was And still is often played as the last track at soul venues.

BUNNY SIGLER LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL From the heart of the City of Brotherly Love, Sigler began singing at the tender age of 3 years old. “Mister Emotion” as he was so aptly named, Sigler was a songwriter and musician playing the piano, guitar, organ, trumpet, trombone, and bass. This record features his first smash hit “Let the Good Times Roll” and has a plethora of sounds for producers out there looking for their next beat. Having been credited for founding the Philly Sound, Sigler has worked with artists such as The Roots, The O’Jays, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, and for the hip-hop enthusiast, he co-wrote “The Rulers Back” with Jay-Z on the critically acclaimed album The Blueprint. (Parkway, 1967)
